Jesse Leroy Smith & Bernard Irwin are both artists with extensive experience of exhibiting. They have worked together on curatorial projects including most recently PRINT! for The Exchange in Penzance. This was a major printmaking exhibition and workshop with courses, demonstrations and drop in days for all sectors of the public to make a print.
Jesse has many years experience of teaching art at UCF, Newlyn Art School & Penlee House. He has curated the Revolver shows and book, ART 75 and this Febuary he curated the ‘Dark Rooms’ event at the CAST Institute in Helston.
Bernard is a painter and ceramist; he is a member of the CPA and the NSA of which he was Vice chair for a number of years. He was a director of Artspace Studios in Bristol before moving his studio to Cornwall in 1996. In 2004 he was an invited artist demonstrating at the Thomastown Pottery Skills Seminar, Kilkenny, Ireland. His curatorial work has included ‘Lineage’ for the Newlyn Art Gallery, a show which looked at the history and creative legacy of 100 years of artists working in the village.
